Plum – Save Money Automatically using Facebook Messenger
Every Friday I share one of my favourite finds of the week — a website, tool or an app that has impressed me.
My Friday Favourite this week is Plum – Save Money Automatically using Facebook Messenger.
What is it?
Plum is a Facebook chatbot that links to your bank account and helps you save money automatically.
How can it help me?
As my friend and financial behavioural coach Andy Hart stresses with his “The 10 Financial Commandments”, utilising Automatic Savings is important to your personal finances.
Once you’ve linked Plum to your bank account, every week Plum will transfer a small amount of money into your Plum savings. Over time, this builds to a nice amount that you would otherwise not have saved.
You can chat to Plum via Facebook Messenger anytime at all to see what you’ve saved, to make a withdrawal or to invest the funds in longer-term saving plans.
Plum employs bank-grade security and works with all major UK banks.
How much does it cost?
Plum is free to use.
How can I get it?
You can create a Plum account here. The sign-up process is conducted via Facebook Messenger.
You can also visit Plum on Facebook, or follow Plum on Twitter.
