On a Friday I try to post my favourites from the week – links to cool content and tools that I’ve found or had recommended to me.
This week’s Friday Favourites is a “Alternatives to Google Tools” special. With the withdrawal of its Google Reader service, Google has made a lot of people nervous about which of their other free services they may pull next.
Here is an alternative to Google tools that I’ve found for the week ending 29th March, 2013:-
Mention – There are also rumours that Google will discontinue its Google Alerts service. Certainly, many users are finding Google Alerts less reliable than they were. Mention is a great alternative. Create alerts for your brand, your industry, your company, your name or your competitors and be informed in real-time about any mentions on the web.
