On a Friday I try to post my favourites from the week – links to cool content and tools that I’ve found or had recommended to me.
This week I’ve focused on Anti-Virus products for mobile devices. More than 40% of Smartphones don’t have Anti-Virus protection, yet AV Vendor Kaspersky recorded some 50,000 malware or virus attacks on Smartphones in the First Quarter of 2012. Intrigued (and shocked!) by this data, I’ve tested three free Anti-Virus tools that I believe are worth looking at.
Avast! Mobile Security – Avast! Free Mobile Security gives your Android mobile antivirus protection and mobile tracking while concealing itself from would-be thieves. Also contains a Firewall for rooted devices on Android and a filter for unwanted incoming SMS and calls.
