My Friday Favourite this week is Loose Ends – Turn your spare time into a great time.
What is it?
Loose Ends is an app that makes meeting up with your friends easier.
How can it help me?
I’ve written before about how to schedule meetings within emails within seconds. But scheduling business meetings, and getting friends together are two different things.
Have you ever found yourself wanting to go to the cinema, have a drink or simply get together with friends? It can often feel like herding cats!
To make this happen, do you post an update to social media, and hope that your friends who are free see the message? Or do you send a load of text messages out, and (let’s be honest, here!) run the risk of bothering people.
Loose Ends is an app that lets you post what you want to do, where and when you want to do it, and then helps find friends of yours who want to do the same.
For instance, I was recently travelling in Edinburgh and at a loose end one evening. I have plenty of friends in Edinburgh who may want to join me, so I used the app to share that I wanted to go to dinner, near the Grassmarket (an area in Edinburgh) on Friday evening. My friends with the Loose Ends app could see this and indicate their interest — even at very short notice. No fuss, no muss.
