#2 The Duck Duck Go Web Browser Now Available For the Apple Mac

Matt Burgess of Wired UK reports that privacy-focused web browser Duck Duck Go has recently released a desktop version for the Apple Mac.

The browser uses Duck Duck Go’s private search engine by default. It blocks ad trackers on each site you visit and incorporates a new email protection service.

1Password, the data security experts, have scored a winner with their latest marketing video.

Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds gives Wrexham AFC a team-talk on the importance of cybersecurity (and a good moisturiser).

The video is very funny, and the product seems to be definitely worth a look for MSPs and their clients. Share it across your social media platforms for a bit of fun!

Atera have released an excellent guide on cybersecurity resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Author Doron Ben Cohen has put together his guide to equip smaller enterprises with tools to spot threats and mitigate against them.

#5 The SuperOps SuperSummit Comes To London

Following on from the success of their online SuperSummit held earlier in the year, SuperOps held their first big in-person event for MSPs in London on 17th May 2022.

#1 UK Businesses Ranked Highest in Paying Ransomware Hackers

Michael Breeze of Pax8 reports that UK businesses are the most likely in the world to pay hackers back for their stolen data.

Adenike Cosgrove, a security specialist at Proofpoint, says “a staggering amount of UK businesses experienced a phishing attack in 2021 and 91% of those attacks were successful”.

#2 Process Warden Release Free SSL Monitoring Tool for MSPs

How often have you spotted an expired SSL certificate on a vulnerable website?

Well, Process Warden are offering a free tool to help MSPs monitor their clients SSL certificate expiry dates.

It notifies you when a certificate is due to expire in the next 30 days, and will only notify if something needs attention.

#3 Pete Matheson – Two Years After I Sold My MSP

If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to sell your MSP business, then Pete Matheson has written about his experiences in his blog two years after selling his Managed Service Provider.

This blog is a must for any MSP owner who may be looking to leave their business in the near future.
