Webinar: Exertis Cybersecurity and Seceon: Launching Advanced Security Services image

How can today’s MSPs grow and scale their businesses?

What should they offer to better support their clients? One thing I suggest to every managed services owner I speak to is advanced security services.

On 12th March 2024, I took part in a webinar hosted by Exertis and Seceon to talk about exactly that.

Share my views on why I think cybersecurity is key to every MSP’s growth in 2024.

How to Find a Profitable Path to Launching Advanced Security Services

In a digital landscape fraught with ever-evolving cyber threats, the demand for robust security measures has reached an all-time high.

Managed Service Providers (MSPs) must play a crucial role in providing comprehensive security solutions for their customers. While navigating today’s evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Stricter data privacy regulations and an increasing number of malicious data breaches has prompted the urgency for MSPs to transition into MSSPs. Technological advancements in security automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning have enabled MSPs to deliver more for the customers. Without the need to hire more staff.

MSPs can grow their security offering in different ways:

  • They can outsource their security operation centre (SOC)
  • Invest in their infrastructure
  • Leverage new and existing off-the-shelf tools

Each of them comes with their own pros and cons.

Why Security Matters to Businesses Now

There are numerous factors driving the demand for managed security services.

  • Regulations and compliance auditing on the rise since the pandemic
  • Growing demands of cyber insurance policies
  • Increasing visibility of ransomware attacks and emerging threats
  • Tech talent shortages

All of these, as well as the need to modernise our existing tech stacks, have increased the urgency and demand for advanced security services.

The Role of AI in Emerging Threats and in Mitigation

The use of AI in cybersecurity to bolster operational capabilities and mitigating alert fatigue is why MSPs should look to partner with innovators like Seceon.

The integration of AI and ML in their open threat management platform underscores the pivotal role of advanced technologies in fortifying cybersecurity. And in staying one step ahead of today’s sophisticated cyber threats.

Furthermore, it’s of crucial importance to maintain transparency in such partnerships. To be clear in communication across the supply chain.

That transparency is a vital element in fostering trust and confidence in the increasingly complex realm of cybersecurity.
