Grammarly – Better Writing Made Easy
Every Friday I share one of my favourite finds of the week — a web-site, tool or app that has impressed me.
My Friday Favourite this week is Grammarly — Better Writing Made Easy.
What is it?
Grammarly is a Chrome extension that makes you a better writer by finding and correcting up to 10 times more mistakes than your Word Processor.
How can it help me?
Grammarly sits in the background and gently prompts you when it spots spelling or grammar mistakes on any web-site you use including Facebook, GMail, Tumblr, LinkedIn and more.
I considered myself a decent writer until I started using Grammarly, which highlighted a number of common mistakes I was making with my writing and helped me to build new and better writing habits.
How much does it cost?
Grammarly is free. There are also Grammarly Premium plans available for power and heavy users.
How can I get it?
Create a free Grammarly account and follow the instructions to install the Chrome extension.
You can also find Grammarly on Twitter and Facebook.

I have been using Grammarly for six months now, and I pay for premium features. I also have the app that works with Microsoft Word. I am not a natural writer, and while I can do it, I always feel that it takes me a long time Grammarly has helped me get a lot quicker and also has improved my overall confidence in sharing what I write. Including this If I could stop writing in the 'passive Voice', then everything would be so much better!!!
